Hi, my name is Matt Allen and I am a reverse mortgage expert.
I have been a mortgage loan officer for 18 years and have been specializing in reverse mortgages for the last 8 years.

I have written two books about reverse mortgages. You can get a copy of my most recent book for free.

I have also written about reverse mortgage mortgages for both national and local publications.

I have been a featured guest on both radio and television.
I teach continuing education classes to financial planners, attorneys, real estate agents, CPAs, and insurance agents.

In other words, I am truly an expert when it comes to reverse mortgages. I am making this point because getting a reverse mortgage is a big financial decision. You want to work with an expert that can not only answer all of your questions, but help you understand the opportunities it provides, how to make the most out of it, and make sure the loan is structured in the best way possible.

I currently live in Ashland Oregon with my wife Cari and two daughters Tuleah and Lucy. In the picture of above, front to back is Tuleah, Lucy and Cari. I know Lucy does not look happy in this picture, but we were at a concert during the summer and it was really hot. Believe me when I tell you she was happy and having a good time.

Cari works for the Children’s Advocacy Center,  a non-profit organization, as a forensic interviewer. She interviews sexually or physically abused children. Not a career choice I could do personally, but she is fantastic at it and loves working with children. She even speaks at national conferences on this topic. I am very proud of her and the work she does for our community.

Here is another picture of Tuleah and Lucy on a recent vacation to Mexico.

Tuleah is 14 years old and will be attending Ashland High School as a freshmen for the 2023 / 2024 school year. She is incredibly smart and loves playing volleyball.

Lucy is 11 yeas old and will be Attending Ashland Middle School as a 6th grader for the 2023 /2024 school year. She is also incredibly smart and is gymnast. She has been a gymnast since first grade and is gym practice 4 hours a day, 4 days a week.

We also have three dogs, Sookie, Ruby and Thor. We are unsure what Sookie and Ruby are as they are both mixed breeds. Thor is a pure bred Rhodesian Ridgeback and Thor is often in my office with me.
We also have chickens and ducks. Two guinea pigs. A mini lavender farm which consists of about 300 lavender plants. And we may become beekeepers in the very near future.

As for me, I enjoy fishing, rafting the Rogue and Klamath rivers during the summer, camping, reading, traveling and brewing my own beer.
